This charming remixed historical print began with a late 18th-century antique illustration of fancy breed and common barnyard chickens of the time by Oliver Goldsmith. It features a Dark Brown Leghorn rooster, a Silver-Spangled Polish rooster, a Dorking hen, a Black Polish hen, a Malay rooster and hen, and a white bantam hen. Many of those chicken breeds are still found on farms across the United States today.
The original was digitally enhanced, colorized, and embellished with watercolor accents.
